What is Hohou Rongo

Hohou Rongo is a kaupapa Māori-based 10–12-week programme designed to support whānau on their unique healing journey — a journey shaped by their own goals, values, and aspirations.

Grounded in restorative practice, this service acknowledges the impact of trauma, prioritises emotional and cultural safety, and restores connection through tikanga and mātauranga Māori.

At Te Hononga o Tāmaki me Hoturoa, we are committed to strengthening the resilience and wellbeing of whānau across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Mana Kidz

Kia ora,

Ko Rebecca Nalder tōku ingoa.

I am a Team Leader and Registered Nurse working in the Mana Kidz Programme in primary schools in South Auckland, with a focus on Rheumatic Fever Prevention.

The Mana Kidz programme strives to improve the lives of children by providing them and their Whānau with easy access to health care.

I am also a Community Nurse Prescriber which means I can prescribe medication that Whānau would otherwise have to see a GP for.

I am passionate about equity in health care and working within vulnerable communities in an attempt to better their health outcomes.

I am married to Mark, have 3 teenagers and a dog, and I love running, reading and holidays!!
